Picking the Right Paint Sheen

Selecting the appropriate paint sheen is just as important as picking the perfect color for your project. Consider the lighting and traffic level of the area you're painting, then decide which sheen fits best.

Flat - Hides imperfections and is a good choice forr ceilings and low traffic areas.

Eggshell - Masks flaws and is best for living rooms, dining rooms and low-traffic areas.

Satin - Has a velvety finish that works well in living rooms, bedrooms, hallways, and dining rooms.

Simi-gloss - Mold and mildew-resistant, making i t a smart choice for high-humidity areas like kitchens, bathrooms and utility rooms.
